Squirters Carwash is the answer to an awesome shine

Check out some of the most common questions we get asked

Q: What are your Opening times?A: Both of our sites are open 24/7 365 days a year
Q: What is the clearance height on the Automatic Laserwashes?A: Baldivis has 2x Autos set at 2.25m and 1x at 2.1m. Mandurah’s 3x Autos are all set at 2.25m
Q: Can I take my Ute through the Auto wash? Even if it doesn’t have a tonneau cover?A: Yes, we have no restrictions on vehicle shape. Remember to remove loose items out of the bed
Q: My vehicle has a roof rack and/or awning attached. Is that ok?A: Yes, as our Auto is touch free there is no contact with any part of the vehicle
Q: How do I get a Loyalty Card?A: Simply pop into our office and pick one up
Q: What is Spot Free Water?A: It is water run through our RO unit on site which removes all contaminants, which helps leave your vehicle with no water spots
Q: Are the soaps and waxes different between auto and manual bays?A: No, they are identical apart from the manual bays offering tyre/engine cleaner and foam brush
Q: What is the clearance height of the manual bays?A: Clearance height of the manual bays is 3.7m
Q: Why does a heap of water come out when the blowers first start?A: This is our Flash Dry. It facilitates pushing excess soap and wax that may be hiding in panel gaps or accessories. Please note that due to certain accessories fitted, or vehicle type, there may be some residue left over at times
Q: Why is the spray arm only going down one side of my vehicle?A: The spray arm operates only on the first 3 soap passes then again on the high-pressure rinse. Once this is done, the arm is tucked away. The polishes, waxes and turbo blast come from the overhead bridge. The arm will again operate during the spot free cycle before tucking away again
Q: My vehicle is still wet after the blower’s finishA: Due to the shape and way the blowers are configured there will be some Spot Free water left on panels. This varies with shape of the vehicle as well as any accessories fitted. Typically, we can get around 85 to 90% of the water off
Q: Do you use hot water?A: Yes, we use hot water in the manual bays for the high-pressure soap and in the Autos for the soap passes
Q: What gets off brake dust?A: Whilst some can be removed with soap and high-pressure water, most will remain. We recommend using a dedicated wheel cleaner spray and a wheel cleaning brush
Q: My vehicle has ceramic coating. Can I wash it at Squirters?A: Yes, you can. We recommend the Laserwashes as they are touch free.
Q: How often should I wash my vehicle?A: We recommend washing your vehicle a minimum of every 2 weeks to keep it looking clean and shiny
Q: Im not sure on how to use the equipment. Can you show me?A: Come down and see us and one of our staff members can give you instructions on how to work the equipment

Road Grime and your Vehicle

That greyish film you commonly see on the sides and rear of your car is road grime. It is made up of dirt, dust, rubber, heavy metals, tar, oils among other things you are driving over every day. Changes in weather conditions also play a part.

Kept in check with regular washing, it isn’t too difficult to remove. We recommend at least every 2 weeks between washes. If you are someone who washes their car only periodically, then it can be very difficult to remove the built up grime. Left long term it will damage the paint and result in scratches, swirls, can contribute to rust, eat into the paintwork and generally just looks terrible.

For light road grime and a general maintenance clean we recommend our touch free auto washes.
If the road grime is heavy (meaning you can draw on your car with a finger or see a change when you wipe your panel) then the best, safest and only real way to completely remove it is to manually clean it off with our foam brush (manual bays at Baldivis), a sponge or microfibre cleaning towel. There is no real way around this. It’s so stuck to the vehicle that it needs to be agitated to be broken down/removed.

Once this is done, we recommend regularly washing the vehicle either through our touch free autos or manual bays to keep it looking great. Even though our Laserwashes are high pressure, they will not remove all stubborn road grime.
